Public Health Council Regulations Beauty Therapy?
Im a beauty therapist and I work from home doing electrolysis amongst other treatments. The council has brought in new regulations as I have had to so far pay for:
wash hand basin in the room I work
Pat tests on electrical equipment
all my household wiring checked (over a £1000, that cost despite living in a brand new house)
£250 to the council to apply for a licence (regardless of whether I get it or not)
criminal record checks
First aider course
Now public health are coming and suggesting (in my home) I work part time that I should have emergency lighting and light up exit signs. I only do a few clients a weeks, this is ridicilous, my house will look awful, is there anything I can do?
I have also been told to get a hep b jab.
I can hardly work in a salon when salons are closing down where I am due to this!, besides I have already paid.
