what is the secret to smooth, healthy and flawless skin?

what is your daily skin care routine, does it work? i want my skin to be smooth eventoned and flawless. how can i achieve this?

Smooth skin comes from a variety of events. Namely genetics, but you can make improvements to your skin despite genetics. Diet, exercise, vitamins, rest, and drinking healthy fluids contribute to your skin which is the largest organ on your body. Like any organ, it needs to be properly maintained. Smooth skin comes from supple yet taut, blemish free skin. Internally this can be obtained by proper nutrition. Stay away from a lot of fried food. Fried means oil, oil is the main culprit which produce acne. The phrase you are what you eat means a lot. Sugary products are just not healthy and can lead to acne. Balance your diet with veggies and fruit. The cleaner your system, the cleaner your face. There has been some cases where certain prescriptions have been made for severe acne such as an antibiotic, but hopefully this method should work before you have to make that step. Believe it or not, bread and certain dairy products actually lead to acne also. Externally, changing pillowcases and keeping your hands off of your face works tremendously. Germs are carried on your bed and of course your hands and spread rapidly. Tie your hair at night if possible and dust your bed off every day for dead skin cells,food and dust. If you must drink pop, make sure you balance it with water. Water consumption plays an important part in the healthiness of skin. As you have probably read, it flushes the impurities from the body. With that said, try not to overdo it on the water though. Roughly 8 to 10 glasses of water a day should be sufficient. I know there is a ratio ,per body weight, as far as how many ounces to drink, but I am not sure. Also make sure you get at least 8 hours of sleep. I know you are probably young and full of all night energy, but its not healthy for you or your skin. What you do to your body now will eventually catch up with you as you age. Example, a person isn’t born with lung cancer, its developed over a period of time. Also, if you enjoy the sunshine as much as I do, wear a sunscreen even if you are African American or a person of color. Sun is healthy because of the vitamin D, but too much sun causes freckles, sun spots, premature aging of the skin, and in some cases sunburn. SP15 to 30 depending on your pigmentation should be sufficient. A light scrub wouldn’t hurt, but in some cases can cause aggravation. Scrubs help exfolliate, alleviate acne and loosen the oil thats already clogged in your pores and for guys helps loosen the hairs trapped within the pores. Cleansing the skin is imperative. Salicylic acid (primarily for acne)works wonder with oily skin. Alpha Hydroxies (exfolliation and glow) works wonders also. Stay away from alcohol as much as possible, internally and externally. If you must drink, minimize your consumption. Topically stay away from SD Alcohol. Cetyl alcohol or any other type of vegetable based alcohol is fine for your skin as it won’t over dry the skin, which in most cases leads to the sebacceous glands overworking themselves and producing more oil on your face. Sounds strange but in some cases alcohol does have that negative effect. Vitamin A ,D, and E work wonders for the skin also. A mask once or twice a week wouldn’t hurt in the tightening of the pores and making the skin more taut, followed by a moisturizer. Even if your skin is oily, you still need a moisturizer. It doesn’t have to be an oily moisturizer but you still need to moisturize all skin types and fill your pores with natural lotions/moisturizers, instead of the dirt and pollution from the air. Stress also can contribute to outbreaks as well as menstrual cycles. An imbalance in the hormonal system triggers outbreaks frequently. I generally break out from lack of sleep. Flawless skin may need some work. Example, if you have acne scars, freckles, age spots or any other types of marks on your skin, you may need a skin lightener such as hydroquinone or Kojic acid, or a combo of both wouldn’t hurt to remove skin discolorations. Exercise (be it bodily or facial) helps the skin stay nice and taut, but it also causes sweat to come from your pores. Make sure to cleanse the skin of the sweat and impurities after each work out, or mainly if you perspire a lot. All in All, you need proper rest, nutrition, vitamins, exercise, cleansers and moisturizers to get your skin to where you want it to be.
